Frequently Asked Questions about Greenstone Copywriting

Thank you for your interest in my copywriting services. Whatever your reason for finding me, I understand you’ll want to know more about me before you hire me. If we were sitting face to face, you’d want to ask me a few questions. Let’s see if I can answer some of those now.

What is Greenstone Copywriting and how can it help sustainable business marketers?

My name is Susan Allan, founder of Greenstone Copywriting, and I am an American Writers and Artists, Inc. Verified Copywriter with a focus on sustainable business. In a rapidly changing world, like you, I understand the need for a more sustainable approach to business. And I also understand the benefits it offers to business. Knowing how to make sustainability personal to your customer makes all the difference. Addressing their business needs by offering your sustainable solution in a way that makes sense to them, is a step in the right direction for a healthier planet, and a healthier bottom line.

Whatever business you’re in, strategic marketing helps you stand out. It helps you to attract customers. And it helps you make more money.

Here’s what I can do for you, so you don’t have to:

I write Business-to-Business (B2B) copy and content to help your business grow. I know the importance of partnerships and collaboration in sustainable supply chains. That’s why effective communication between manufacturers, engineers, innovators, scientists, subject matter experts and procurement managers is essential in establishing long-term relationships. It means you, and other businesses like you, get access to the things you need but don’t already have.

Why is B2B marketing different to other forms of copy?

Understanding the difference can help make sure you are making the right business decision when talking to your customers. And that comes down to targeting the right audience. When an end consumer buys something, they usually only have to convince themselves to make the purchase. However, when a business purchases something, the product or service being considered is of a much higher value. Many people are involved in the decision and more time is taken to decide. The marketing material must therefore appeal to many stakeholders, especially the key decision makers.

What are my qualifications?

As for my formal training, I’m a graduate of the American Writer’s and Artist Institute’s direct response program (AWAI is the industry leader in copywriter training). This enables me to understand the fundamental principles of persuasive writing which helps me help you.

Aside from copywriting, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Otago Polytechnic, which I use in many areas of my writing. It helps me with:

  • analytical thinking
  • appreciation for design: look and function of products
  • logic in systems and processes
  • empathy for end user (or in this case, your customer)

My technical background has prepared me to really understand a product, which is essential in being able to get your customer to take action.

I also have a Certificate in Small Business Management so I have an appreciation for what it takes to grow a business, what matters to you, and why.

What kind of assignments do I handle?

I write white papers, case studies, press releases, articles, landing pages, and sales pages. See Services to learn about how using these materials can help you achieve the results you need.

What does it cost to hire me for a project?

It’s hard to say without knowing the details of your project. No two companies, or projects are alike. Contact me today and we can discuss your project. I’ll deliver a proposal (at no cost to you) that meets your challenges and needs. It’ll outline my understanding of your project, an action plan for your roadmap to success and what you can expect in terms of timeframe and budget. You have no obligation to proceed.

To give you a general idea of pricing, contact me and ask for my Pricing Guide. It outlines a typical investment range for any of the copywriting services I offer. My quote will depend on the complexity of your project.

How long will it take to write my copy?

Turn around depends on the size and scope of the project. During our conversation about your project, we can set deadlines based on your marketing needs. I will work diligently toward meeting all deadlines for drafts and revisions. Research is a major factor that could lengthen a project, so the more information you can provide, the quicker I can complete the project.

What happens if the copy needs revisions?

I expect that it will need revisions! While I strive to produce the best copy I can every time, I know there will be things you’ll want me to change. It’s natural. I have to get to know your company, style and expectations. So I’ll not be offended when you ask me to change something in my draft. Usually two revisions are needed. What matters is having something you’ll be absolutely satisfied with and that fits the needs of your business.

Do I guarantee my copy?

No one can guarantee results as there are many factors that contribute to them. However, I can guarantee that I’ll provide you with copy that meets or exceeds your expectations.

What’s it like to work with me?

That’s a hard one for me to answer. But why take my word for it? That’s why I asked my associates for their help. You’ll see what they had to say throughout this site.

Contact me if you’d like more information. Tell me where your business is heading and ask me how I can help you get it there. And remember, there’s no obligation.
